URGENT : Is admissions tutoring really worth it?

I'm thinking about getting an admissions tutor from TheProfs company to get into some top universities like LSE or UCL. Has anyone worked with them before and if so, what was your experience like and is it worth it? My chances are low so I'm hoping I can get a near guarantee for a place at one of these unis.

Please help,

Also, it's really expensive like £150 an hour but is this price justified?

No, it's a rip-off. No-one can guarantee admission.
All they do is charge you to give you the same information you can already find online. Maybe padded with some platitudes.
You can get the same advice free yourself from either a) the actual universities themselves or b) asking on TSR (where you'll get plenty of advice, but probably fewer platitudes).

No it is not worth it. They charge so much and can't offer a guarantee/cashback if you don't get your desired result. They are there to make money

You’re better off connecting with a student that goes to the university and asking for advice. Like on LinkedIn.

They are totally COMMERCIAL enterprises whose only purpose is to extract mega money from gullible 17 year olds in exchange for nothing that will actually help you get a place.
You'll get more accurate advice by engaging with admissions teams yourself.

These services just give out a lot of generic advice and accordingly, foster a lot of very generic applications that sometimes get an offer despite themselves.

That said if anyone wants to give me £150 an hour...

Go to Open Days and listen to the presentations - they will tell you exactly what these Uni actually want - and no-one can study for you, whoever you think can do this for you forget it, you have to do it yourself.
