Uni of York Catered Accommodation
I was assigned a catered accomodation in James College, but I have severe diagnosed dietary issues which means I have to prepare my own meals to ensure I can eat them.
Is it possible to receive a refund for the catered part of the accomodation or similar?

Hi unfortunately I don't think it's possible as the rent is a fixed price. Have you considered switching accom with another student? On West, Halifax is fully self-catered and so are the Band 3 Derwent rooms in Eden's Court and the extension. I'd recommend calling the accommodation team and explaining your situation to see if anything can be done for you. 🙂

I'd suggest contacting [email protected] to explain your situation and they will be able to give you some information on how they can support you with your dietary requirements. Also, I'd suggest contacting [email protected] if you would like to be in a self-catered room and they will be able to discuss any available options with you 🙂
