Hi, we have specific dedicated accommodation assistants that usually work pretty much full time, it's not usually a student-led role as I understand it. We do have a very active student ambassador scheme which you can apply for as a student - the role is super flexible and the duties varied, it pays £12+/hour at least and fits nicely around your studies. We also have occasional Student Jobs on Campus, and short-term internships with experiential and financial rewards

The parking is paid, which is an additional expense to encourage people to use altenatives, but we do also have free public transport between all halls of residence, both campuses, and Sunderland city centre (we're also a tiny city, if you move into the city for uni you'd probably be able to walk to campus in 15-20 mins) - if you are travelling in from the wider local area you'd almost certainly pay less for return travel than you'd pay for parking.
