MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering vs MSc in Computing (Conversion Course)

Hi everyone,

I graduated with a 2:1 in BEng Mechanical Engineering in September 2022 but haven't gained any work experience in my field yet. I'm now trying to figure out how to boost my career prospects and have two options: an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering or an MSc in Computing (Conversion Course).

I'm interested in both, but I’m unsure which would open up more opportunities or be more valuable in the current job market. For those who have experience in either field or have gone through a similar decision, which degree would you recommend to improve my career prospects?

I’d really appreciate any advice or insights!

Thanks in advance!
I’d stick with mechanical and add aspects of computer science into your project and research work if that’s your thing. It’s a more versatile degree.

I tailored my mechanical degree towards bio and medical, self studying the parts not taught.
