Student finance marital status

Hi, I am in a very complicated situation, my parents are not in a very good relationship as my mum left my dad some years ago and relocated somewhere in Africa, my dad and I have lost all contacts with her however she’s still registered as a tenant in our house because my dad refused to remove her and hopes that one day she will come back , I have applied for funding and indicated my dad is still legally married and I’ve been asked to provide my mums finances but I have no idea where she is or how to get hold of her what can I do now as I won’t be eligible for the full maintenance if I don’t provide my “ghost” mum finances ?
