we wasn't told that at the beginning of the course that we would be assessed to see whether we are good enough for the course but something rlly bad happened as i left secondary school i was always hurting and never felt confident and did the same but the teacher said im not good enough for the course because i didnt talk to anyone or have any friends in class and i have to go a lower level and when i left ppl in my previous class think i left for a bad reason

Agreed with the above. Students are always assessed and by the sounds of it you were moved onto a course that you would have succeeded in rather than failing a harder course.

doesn't matter what people think, as long as you are where you're meant to be. If you feel like you belong in a higher level, then you can ask your teacher and try to prove yourself again, if you're given a chance. You might end up liking the lower level more though, finding it better suited, regardless of what people think.
