Funding for a foundation degree + BSc?

Will I be eligible for funding if I complete one year of a two year Foundation Degree at Leeds University Centre and then move to another uni to start a separate 3 year BSc?

Will the BSc also be funded for tuition fees/maintenance loan? I read that SF funds for the length of a degree plus one extra year in case of transferring.

Or what if I fund the foundation degree myself and then apply for student finance for the BSc only? I read that only a first degree can be funded by student finance but does this apply if I fund the first degree myself and then apply for SF for a second degree?

I also have a disability, if this might affect anything.

Hi there,

You're entitled to one additional year of funding. So, if you study one year of this foundation course and then move to a new 3 years course that's fine: you'll be entitled to funding for the duration of the 3 year course too.

If you complete the foundation course of two years, however, this means you won't be entitled to fees in the first year of a new course.

Thanks, Graeme
