The Student Room Group

Eh

Figured it out

There's nothing wrong with that. Lots of people study law and then don't qualify as solicitors or barristers.

Having said that, I'm not sure what sort of legal advice or analysis work you have in mind. Solicitors and barristers provide legal advice and analysis. There are regulatory limits on the provision of legal services by people who are not qualified lawyers or working under the supervision of qualified lawyers. Paralegal work can be enjoyable, but can sometimes lack career development opportunities.

Thank you for this. Do you think as a first class English literature graduate from a Russel group a conversion through a MA Law (conversion) at the university of Law or a senior status LLB would be/sound better? Funding isn’t really an issue as much as doing well and understanding materials. I don’t want to be in a class full of overseas students if I’m doing the accelerated LLB.

Why the xenophobia?

You have a First in English and you can't even spell Russell Group. Truly we are doomed.

I have no beef or prejudice to overseas students I don’t get why that matters to anything 😂 I couldn’t care less about them it just wouldn’t make sense for me to do a course with no home students because what would be the reason?

If not wishing to associate with people from overseas isn't xenophobia, what is it?

Quite the opposite, I think overseas students are really cool people and I’m friends with a few!! You’re misinterpreting😂 I just wouldn’t want to be in the same class as them as perhaps that would mean the route I’m taking isn’t correct

Talk about digging the hole deeper, if you were in a “class full of overseas students, that means the route im taking isn’t correct”???? There are millions of very successful foreign/ethnic lawyers? how does nationality and success in the legal sector correlate at all?

Are you ok mate? If the GDPL is a popular route taken by most if not all home students and the graduate entry LLB is taken by mostly North American and Canadian students the OBVIOUSLY a home student would question the suitability of the course. How can you be xenophobic if you’re the minority.

Anyone can be xenophobic (although it would be better if nobody was). You have repeatedly stated a xenophobic position in this thread.
