😁 Hey everyone, 😁

I'm feeling slightly more awake now compared to when I originally posted this. 💀

For the past week, I spent most of time revising for TMUA and did it today. I think it went alright? 🥳 Not as ideal as I hoped but still alright. I was running out of time so I had to guess a few of the questions but there's no point antagonising over it 🤷*♀️

Right now I just feel really sleepy but I know what I need to focus on technique wise for MAT so I would say the experience was worth it. Plus I got to learn more about mathematical reasoning 🤓 which I kinda like now that I've wrapped my head around it.

Well done to everyone who's done TMUA and ESAT the past few days 🥳 They weren't easy tests and you should be proud of yourselves for trying instead of giving up (which people do do each year). For those taking the Oxford tests, good luck in the upcoming weeks!

Hey everyone thanks for the support 😁!

I'm trying to keep on top of my notes and flashcards so I spent the weekend trying to catch up with work.

A little update on what's happened:

•

Saturday was a bad day 💀, I don't know what happened I was supposed to go into volunteering as well but I just woke up feeling horrible then I missed the bus and it just got worse but we're fine now.

•

I was able to get through my Biopsych & some of my Schizophrenia (SZ) notes on Sunday 🥳. Completed the maths exercises for Core Pure & Statistics. CS was left untouched 💀 so were some of the Mechanics mixed exercises 💀 but that is a Wed forwards problem

•

I signed up to a lecture about this conman called Demara and it honestly was quite interesting to see the different techniques he used to persuade people he was this authority figure and how he got away with it for so long

•

This morning I was working on my Biopsych flashcards this morning and got those completed

•

Spent my free doing Maths homework which is now done ✅️

•

We started and finished an entire chapter of Statistics in my double 💀 so now I'm trying to do all the exercises for that

Needless to say I'm quite tired 😅. I have a half day on Wednesday which I am quite happy about. I also got an offer from Southampton 🥳 for Computer Science with Cyber Security which is nice.

☀️ Good morning! ☀️

Yesterday was kinda chill. I had all my subjects so I spent part of the day working through NEA stuff (I'm on the Design section now); got back my Attachments test and got 21/26 🥳 which I'm quite happy about; did some Decision revision and learnt more Y2 Core Pure content in maths.

Spent my free doing a Spanish listening and it could have gotten better (11/25 💀). I would have needed to get 14 marks in Speaking to get a A2 grade or 19 marks for a B1 grade so I'm going to try practice those two in the half-term. The exam is on a Fri next month so I might take the Thurs off if I can to focus on revision as well.

Today is D-day since its end of term! 🥳 🥳🥳

That and I have maths which is just going to be revision and then double free so I'm just going to use the time to tidy up some of my psychology notes. Hopefully a very chill day.

Then the half term plan is:

•

•

•

Catch up with any flashcards I need to do, extracurriculars like DofE (and then plan how Im going to be doing these more regularly 💀), just general life stuff

Hey everyone! I can't believe half-term is nearly over already 💀, it's crazy how time flies as you get older.

Starting with some good news: I received an offer from Lancaster 🥳 which is what I was planning to put as my insurance option after Oxford. So that was quite a nice surprise.

Though the other news: I had MAT this Thurs 💀 I really can't tell how it went and it's sounds silly but I never really faced the prospect of rejection pre-interview... I'm just going to keep up with interview prep and my supracurriculars because I won't actually know till I get the email in Nov 🤷*♀️ Plus I have mocks in 2 days and I've spent most of the half-term focusing on MAT so thats wonderful as well 😭. I'm just going to be studying the next 2 days 🥲

I hope everyone else's half-terms have been alright?

I felt the same after TMUA, it sounds really cocky but I hadn't really considered the possibility that I might get rejected pre-interview and it's kind of annoying because I'm going to keep up the interview prep but it feels like it might just be for nothing if I get rejected pre-interview.. You got this though because you worked so hard for MAT!! I'm sure you did great! Good luck with mocks and don't worry if you feel like you've not done enough revision, revising for MAT was 100% more important!!

Hey everyone!

I had my Maths Mock today and it honestly went alright. I understood all the content and I had time to check but I made some silly mistakes on some of the questions 💀 so oops there 😅.

Spent the rest of the periods going over Proof by Induction and Y2 Complex Numbers, Research Methods then trying to revise Elements of Computational Thinking but got distracted talking with my teacher about Interview Prep and ideas for stuff I can do between now and then.

I want to go over the Computer Science content this evening since thats my next mock and maybe some Spanish vocabulary if I can. I have DELE in 3 weeks 💀 and I'm slightly going into panicking mode but I know more Spanish than I believe (I think 😅).

DELE exams are official language exams you can take that globally recognise your proficiency for a language. For me, I'm taking the Spanish ones at A2/B1 Level which is going into Intermediate Proficiency.

A1/A2 - Beginner
B1/B2 - Intermediate
C1/C2 - Advanced
