🖥 Grow Your Grades 24/25 - A Nerd's Journey (iive) 🖥

Hey everyone, my yesterday was pretty boring with me just revising Computer Science for most of the day 💀 decided to fit some Y2 Complex Numbers into there as well.
I had my Computer Science mock this morning which I was quite happy about apart from a few dodgy questions and the fact that all the Programming Qs were in object-oriented code 💀 which fortunately I went over but I might have gotten some of the syntax wrong.
½ way through though 🥳, got Psych tomorrow afternoon then Further Maths Fri afternoon.

Good luck for tomorrow! OOP syntax always takes me out, I just can’t seem to remember it!

Hey, the Psych exam went alright but I think I need to work on exam technique since I nearly ran out of time 💀. One more to go 🥳

I'm officially finished 🥳!

We're supposed to have a Paper 2 "mock" for Psychology either end of December or start of January but that's going to be done in class rather than in the hall. Further Maths went alright as well but I messed up on one question and I'm kinda annoyed about it 💀 but I'm trying not to dwell on it.

I'm going to spend the weekend doing some application and interview prep since I'm all caught up with homework and internships openings usually start between now and December. Have a restful weekend everyone!

Back to normal lessons today!

My class has started the last chapter of Statistics then we would have finished the entire A Level Maths Course 😱 which is crazy to think about! I also had computing and psych for my two other lessons then spent some of my free doing Spanish reading comprehension practice.

Plan when I get home:

•

Keep going through Spanish vocab

•

Write up flashcards for BioPsych - Endocrine and Flight or Flight Response

•

My computing teacher said he'll set us homework so I'll check whether he's put that up yet

•

Finish off 3B and marking 3A from today

•

Read this book I got from my school library on Conscious Machines before I keep putting it off and having to return it 💀

Evening everyone!

I had all my subjects today again, so I spent the evening finishes off the exercises from maths lessons and doing BioPsych homework. In computing we were doing NEA work which I'm a bit behind in but I've got my pseudocode going now.

Also had Spanish speaking practice today, could have gone better... I'm going to spend tomorrow morning doing some listening comprehension and also a "Spanish profile" for myself so I don't end up waffling as much

I was planning to start a vlog channel but then kinda gave up with it, but maybe doing this will motivate me more.
About me:

A Levels: Mathematics , Further Mathematics, Computer Science and Psychology and I did my CyberEPQ (A*) last year

•

Predicteds: 4A*s (I got 2A*s in CS and Psych and A in AS Further Maths in my Y12 mocks)

•

GCSEs: 9999999998A

•

I like knitting surprisingly (blame my form tutor), also trying to get back into poetry

My goals:

•

Do my best in my A Levels

•

Pass Spanish Exam (this nov)

•

Get into dream uni 🎓 (and if not, find a place I will be happy with)

•

Secure an internship for next summer (because a girl needs to fund uni somehow)

•

Sort out personal drama

•

There's also some competitions I want to do well in (like National Cipher Challenge 👩*💻)

•

✨️ Live Love Laugh ✨️

Uni Options:

•

Southampton - Computer Science with Cyber Security - offer received

•

Lancaster - Cyber Security with Industrial Experience - offer received

•

Oxford - Computer Science and Philosophy - MAT done/pre-interview stage

•

UCL - Philosophy and Computer Science - acknowledgement received

•

Imperial - Computing (Security and Reliability) - TMUA done/waiting for response

I hope this motivates someone and people can use this gyg to avoid making the same mistakes I did and we can learn from each other!

Hey everyone!

With my Spanish Speaking, I've definitely gotten more confident and the Spanish assistant who's helping me said ill definitely pass it'll just be what level I get in the end is kinda up for debate

•

Got the Senior Maths Kangaroo tomorrow which I'm mainly just going to wing 💀 (I might do some practice tonight because it helps with problem solving (interviews) but I have so much Psych to do 💀)

Oxford have now officially started sending out invites and rejections 💀 which is just what I need with an exam this Friday 💀 but we live love laugh
