Should I resit my a levels or move on to uni next year?

Hi, guys I received my a level results this year August and I’m still hang up on them. I received ABB in History, English Lit and Sociology but I was predicted A*A*A. I’m on a gap year rn and I’m ok with it since that was what I planned to do for a while now, but I’m upset with my grades since I worked so hard just to not get what I needed. I’m wondering if I should resit sociology and take up a new subject which I have the books for (politics), or just move on and reapply this year to another uni for Law.

Do Sociology and Politics and make sure you really scrutinise the examiners reports, mark schemes and obviously each past exam paper. 😉

You could apply after you get your grades next year and there are top Law degrees in UCAS Clearing: SOAS, RHUL, City, QMUL, Reading, Kent, Lancaster and even Manchester.

There were good options for LLB degrees in clearing this year which would have taken you with ABB.
Leicester and Lancaster both spring to mind. If you want to target a Russell Group you could try Liverpool. I know they have a huge intake and were taking students with AAB and I think even some with ABB. My advice would be to get a place at the best uni you can with ABB and move forward with your life. They are still good grades.
