The Student Room Group

Do you find The Student Room intuitive to use?

Simple question as above, do you find TSR (both the app and the website) relatively intuitive to use or not? Do you get confused when it comes to how to use and interact on the website/app?

The newer of a user (especially 2024 users) you are the better (to get a more accurate picture) but older users as also welcome to answer this question.

Note: this is not an official survey or anything, I’m purely asking this out of curiosity because I’ve seen some users say that they find it ok to use TSR but others have said nope so it’s just to get a feel. Also so find out why I guess.

I guess the phrase “relatively intuitive to use” can mean different things for different people but let’s take the phrase to mean doing basic stuff such as navigating the website/app for forums and using TSR search, how to post a thread, how to edit posts/quote, how to find articles to basic things etc

TSR= The Student Room.

I personally found it mostly intuitive to use at first (at least for the simple stuff if you exclude how rep works and some of the more complex stuff) but others might of course have different experiences.

Also apologies in advance of this is in the wrong forum or not a suitable question for me to ask.

I find it pretty intuitive to use but I have got used to how the website works and how the website has changed since 2022. I don't find it confusing but I use TSR more than most users.

Yeah I don’t find it confusing for the most part either.

I’ve seen a few users say that they do find TSR to be confusing to use and outdated though (even on the new system).

I just hopped on today - I hadn't used it for 3 years. It's too purple. I prefer the blue and yellow.

I personally like the new colour scheme but I see that others might not like it.

I guess its not the worst - at least it's not bright yellow! Personally, I feel blue is a lot calmer like the sky.

Should be a way to do it on your own but I have no idea how to do it, sorry.

I believe there should be an option under Edit My Login Settings - if not then if you post in Ask the Community Staff, someone should be able to sort it for you :smile:
