How about taking a gap year to gain more experience and try to arrange a day of shadowing a radiographer? That would help you greatly with things to write in your personal statement and will broaden your knowledge of the subject.

Hello,
How I found experience was I searched NHS then the city i live in, then typed work experience. Then I clicked on this NHS link from my area labelled work experience, then I emailed them telling them my a levels and what I'm doing then they replied and sent me forms to fill out. 🙂

Don't confuse shadowing and work experience (you need both). Contact your local NHS trusts and request a day of shadowing experience in the radiography department. You will follow a DR for the day and it will give an understanding of what the job involves. Your work/volunteering experience can be in any public-facing role - in a care home or similar would be ideal, but it can be in retail, cafe/restaurant work, charity shop, etc. This is so you can show unis that you have experience of interacting with the general public.
