Resitting epq in y13 help!!!

Hey everyone,
So, I wanted to talk about my EPQ results. I got a C, which I'm not happy about. I'm currently in year 13 and I’m thinking about resitting it to see if I can improve my grade. I'd like to know if I can resit it at my pace or if I have to join the y12 EPQ lesson every week?
Also, can I resit them for free or do I have to pay?
If you have any tips or experiences about resitting, I’d love to hear them!

Hello!

You have to pay for resits unless the school offers to pay for you. However besides that I think resitting the EPQ now that you're in Y13 is going to be quite difficult

I did my EPQ as an independent candidate from the school (it was a specialist one so I was assigned a supervisor) which meant I had more freedom to move at my own pace. However, that meant I had more responsibility to keep myself accountable to stay on track. Trying to complete a new project whilst revising for A Level exams isn't impossible (I know some schools do this as standard practice for those with 3 A Levels) but it's up to you how much workload you think you would be able to handle and still achieve the grades that you want.

I'm not entirely sure about the Y12 class thing, I think that would be between you and your school to decide?

Good luck with this year!

Thank you for your advice regarding EPQ resits. After weighing up the drawbacks and considering my current workload and commitments in Year 13, I’ve decided that I do not want to resit EPQ. I think it’s best for me to focus on my A Level exams this year.
Thank you anyway though!!
