No idea what to do after college

Guys help please. Idk whether or not I should take a gap year or not bc yeah there are benefits of a gap year and the reasons why I would be taking them is to work and save money, actually know what it is I want to do and be happy with it and get work experience and stuff to enhance my CV. But I want to go to university this coming 2025 sept/oct because I dont want to be behind - ik some people say you wont be missing out or everyone has their own journey but still.

I do sociology, fine art and english language a level and already did an epq in year 12 and my gsce grades were average. I want to study abroad - specifically the US, or very top unis in the UK but would prefer US colleges. I am so unsure of what to do now for my educational journey. Kinda stressful at the moment. And we are supposed to be applying for university the next coming month - oct and such - with UCAS but i have no idea. But I dont want to regret my degree or end up having a low-paying job or finding it hard to get a job after university.

Any advice would help PLEASE. Thanks youu ❤️

Sounds like taking a gap year would be a really good thing to do. Make sure you budget in some travel and take some time out to discover who you are and what you like. Then do that. Don't feel you have to go to university (yet) and also don't feel there is a set course for how you construct your life. Uni will always be available. Just don't waste your one choice.

Good luck!

Think deeply within yourself of what would make you happier providing the people around you agree or are not worse off from your decision.

Hope it helps. Meditation is key.
You could always do a BA degree here and do a masters in the US

Do a bachelors or just take a gap year. I know you'll feel like you're missing out a lot, but most people that will enter your course will have a varying range of ages and at least you aren't like 26 entering. If you do a bachelors it's not as much of a commitment as a masters, but if you're not sure if you want to go uni DON'T GO. It's a massive financial decision and doing it the wrong way will just give you more trouble later on. Gap year is best.
