Sutton Grammar Sixth Form

Hi, anyone can share their experience on Sutton Grammar Sixth Form, especially on the teaching quality of Maths, F Maths, Physics and Chemistry?

It’s worth to move there from a comprehensive state school?

Many thanks

Thanks for your reply!

Do you think it’s worthwhile to move from a comprehensive state school (with familiar environment, good maths teachers, classmates etc) to Sutton Grammar Sixth Form? Will it
be difficult for an external student to adapt to the learning environment there? Not sure will it be very “pushy”.
Thanks for your reply!

Hi! I moved to Sutton for sixth form. Out of the A-levels you listed I only do Chemistry but I'm really enjoying it. As a rule allA-level courses are usually quite self-led, so there will be a lot of personal revision and learning at home, but you'll probably get a lot more help and guidance at a grammer school than a comprehensive school, especially in reaching the top grades. Let me know if I can help with anything else!

Thanks Emily.
Will the school only push for academic results, and very stressed studying there if not performing as well as others?
The teaching quality, resources and preparations/support for university application are much better than a comprehensive state school?
Many thanks
I've never been to a comprehensive school personally, but I've got friends who have been to one before sutton girls and they've found the teaching quality to be better. Th school doesn't only push for academic results (like my previous school did) but there is a focus on helping students do the best they can. Obviously good grades reflect well on the school and people going want to do well, but I know plenty of people who aren't pushing to get 3 A* so the environment isn't too stressful or pushy

So your experience is on Sutton Girls not Sutton Grammar School with a mixed sixth form?
But anyways your reply is still very helpful.
