i did bad in my gcses can i still get into a top university?

i didnt pay attention during my gcses and ended up with a 8877776664 im getting some remarked so i could go up however if i try my best and get a/a* in my alevels and do well in my ucat is kcl,ucl,icl,edinburgh,manchester etc still a possibilty for me? im currently in y12 and ive done bronze and silver dofe (will be doing gold) and ill be doing an epq and core maths too.i am doing bio,chem and history a levels and i want to do medicine or biology at university i also don't think im eligible for any sort of widening participation scheme or contexualised offers .thanks xx

Absolutely yes you can still get into a top university I didn’t get higher than 5 in my gcse and next week am starting child nursing at Manchester university .Honestly GCSE are now over and congratulations on your results they were amazing. I suggest now to just focus on getting the best results in A-levels to ensure you achieve your goal of study medicine or biology at a top university. I would also advise to research to different university entry requirements as every uni may differ. Please seek professional advise from career advise at school I hope I could answer your question to the best of my abilities.☺️
