Goldsmiths fine art w/o foundation????

I'm applying from A Levels for fine art this year and am currently deciding courses for UCAs (I am also applying for foundation courses too). I saw on the Goldsmiths website that they don't accept students without foundation at all but I want to put them as an option. Is it true that they don't look at your application at all without a foundation? also could anyone recommend a good fine art foundation course apart from ual?

Hi there @cholelau , Kingston University London offers a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design & Media that you may be interested in 🙂 Although many art and design undergraduate courses require an art foundation, there are a few exceptions if your portfolio is relevant and outstanding to the course you are applying to. Hope this helps! 😀

hi this is maybe a bit late to reply but just to say I went to goldsmiths open day last weekend and they said they categorically don't accept anyone without having done art foundation. They said they get so many applications, they don't even look at ones who haven't done a foundation course.

Cardiff Met said only 20% of their students have done an art foundation course

Thank you so much, this is really helpful as like a confirmation for my choices.
