Transferring to 2nd year at University of Exeter from University of Plymouth

I'm doing first year undergrad Business Management at Uni of Plymouth instead of Uni of Exeter since I didn't meet the grades to make my offer unconditional. I'd like to transfer into second year Business Management at Uni of Exeter. Anyone know if this is possible? And if so, how is the transferring of universities process like? Would a recommendation letter help? etc.. Thanks X

If you "didn't meet the grades to make my offer", then you won't be able to transfer-in, I'm afraid. From Exeter's Admissions Policy:

"Outside the context of partnership arrangements, applicants for Year 2 of undergraduate study are expected to meet the Level 3 (A-Level or equivalent) entry requirements in place at the relevant time, in addition to successful completion of the relevant HE credit. This is so that we are fair to candidates who could not originally gain a place at one of our campuses. This rule applies to those transferring from another University and to those looking to move between University of Exeter campuses."

Many other universities take the same approach, in that you can't side-step their entry requirements by studying somewhere else (which accepts lower grades) first and then transfering to a university you wouldn't have been accepted at directly.

Sorry. :frown:
