Welcome to your TSR News Quiz of the Week!

Welcome to the hundred-and-sixty-sixth instalment of the News Quiz of the Week!

Visit the master thread for more details of the series, and to sign up for notifications when a quiz goes live!

How it works
This quiz is conducted on a multiple-choice basis via Google Forms, and you have until next Friday at 00:00 to play the game. The form will ask you to fill in your TSR username, and this is essential if you want to be in contention for the prize! Please feel free to comment and share your scores below this also makes verifying the scores easier!

The tiebreaker question is a free-typed question where the answer is a number. If there's a tie for first place, the winner of the prize will be the person who gets closest to the correct answer. (And it can also help us spot anyone who looks like they might have received help from the internet as they did the quiz!)

It should do, as long as you submitted the form

It was just that when I checked my answers there was a save option, but only if I signed in.

That is to save it for yourself, if you wanted to go back to it in the future.

(It's the 166th not the 165th FYI - wrong in the OP just in case you want to change it).

Officially 5/9 but could be 7. I didn't spell the full name of the athlete and reworded the Trump answer. Will I still get those marks? Long long way off the tiebreaker.

I got 3/10 :woohoo: I got the gist of question 2 but I worded it differently so got it wrong :woo:

I think if you kinda got it for the worded answer questions, then you'd get the mark but dunno

Oh well, let's see what happens :groovy:
Tagging everyone!

Spoiler

Officially I have 1/9 but it should be 3/9 if you accept the way I've phrased some things

For the non-politicos among us, the tiebreaker question might give the wrong impression - it's actually the number of pensioners who may miss out once the means testing comes into place as they are not claiming the benefits they are entitled to and which would make them eligible to still keep the fuel allowance. Nerd alert

2/10, probably should be 3/10 because of the trump thing (which i've seen so many tiktoks of)

Reply 18

2/10 but If you round it down 2 rounds down to 0 and yk what number also contains 0s, 10 so it's basically full marks

Reply 19

3/10
oh my. that's a fall from last week for sure...
