Med personal statement for 5th choice?

I'm applying to 2/3 med schools and the rest biological sciences - will a med based personal statement affect my chances of getting offers from UCL, Bath, Warwick for biology?

Medical schools want to know that you want to do medicine - I don't imagine they'd enjoy a personal statement based around biological sciences. Also, courses like biomed and biological sciences are used to being the 5th choice for medicine applicants so I would write it based on med. However, considering how competitive medicine is, personally I would absolutely apply for 4 med schools if you want to do med, and put bio sciences as a 5th. If you're not sure at this stage whether you want to do med, and think you might pick bio sciences instead, I wouldn't apply for medicine, as med schools demand a lot of dedication and commitment from their applicants. Hope this helps!

Unfortunately my mum thinks I'll regret applying for bio so she wants me to have other options when it comes to firming despite me explaining to her how difficult it is to even get an interview let alone a place and everything lol...
