Impact of arriving late to Aston University

What happens if I arrive one week late to Aston University for the September intake in my first year? Will the university have any issues with my late arrival?

Will you miss Welcome Week (the week starting Monday 16 September 2024) or the first teaching week (the week starting Monday 23 September 2024)?

Have you checked you Welcome Week timetable in MAP (My Aston Portal). It will list the activities you'll be missing. These might include mandatory induction activities, to introduce you to the department or the university generally. (Obviously you'd miss all the activities designed to introduce you to other students, so you'll be "behind" socially.)

You should absolutely let the university know that you'll be a week late, so they can make alternative arrangements for any mandatory activities.

They don't care. I completed my degree there last year. Ever since COVID hit they never really cared about attendance unless you failing in your modules.
