rayanne's year 10 gyg πŸŽ€

hello everyone! so i've seen a lot of people doing these, and i thought i would create my own!
- i started year 10 2 weeks ago now, and tbh it's going pretty well!
here are the subjects i take and how i feel about them:

aqa biology - i already LOVE it and me and my teacher have been besties since the start of year 9 now!
aqa chemistry - it's okay, definitely a lot better than last year!
aqa physics - last year i DESPISED physics, but i'm really glad i don't have my teacher from last year because she made it hell, it's a lot better now tho!
aqa english lit (lord of the flies, jane eyre, romeo and juliet, love and relationships poetry) - this has really really upset me, because last year i was amazing at english because of my angel of a teacher, now i have the most boring texts and teacher ever and i hate it.
aqa english lang - haven't done anything on this yet.
aqa geography - honestly, big regret. it is so boring, i've been learning about the slums in rio de janeiro for about 7 lessons now.
aqa spanish - it's alright, but it is quite boring i can't lie.
edexcel maths - honestly, i am REALLY enjoying it! i've surprised myself, because last year I hated maths, although i definitely do have a slightly better teacher this year (he's a bit weird tho....)
wjec food tech - again, one of my absolute FAVS. probably cos it's really similar to biology and i adore biology. also my teacher and i are besties yet again, shes such an icon.
eduqas route b rs - this subject has reallyyy let me down. we did the judaism section last year, and it was REALLY good because i had a teacher who was literally a mother figure to me and we were besties. this year, i have an alright teacher but she is just reallyyyy boring and the catholicism side is really boring too.

as of right now, my aim is to hopefully 🀞 get all 9s! and then i would like to do biology, psychology and maths at a level (i say that, but my mind would probably change next week ahahah) and do a degree in midwifery at uni!
Good luck with year 10! Id be happy to try to answer any questions about revision if you’ve got them πŸ™‚

That seems great! Can you help me understand what does gyg mean? I'm new here so I don't know this concept.

It’s Grow Your Grades- basically it’s a blog where you say what you’ve done to study and then you document your progress with your grades. People use them to keep track, motivate themselves and hold themselves accountable with studying πŸ™‚ Im also pretty new to it as I started My GYG just before the start of the academic year, feel free to have a look and get an idea of what to use it for (although admittedly its a bit weak lol)
