Degree Apprenticeships

Hi,
I am writing this post as I am very new to the world of degree apprenticeships (I heard my friends talking about it so I was curious). I am interested in the finance sector more specifically IB. My main question is how to stand out in such a competitive application process? and when the deadline are for these apprenticeships? (as I have heard they close depending on how full they are) many Thanks
Hi, Thank you for your sharing your interest in degree apprenticeships. You can learn more about how they work by visiting our website: https://network75.southwales.ac.uk/. Our scheme Network75 is a combined work placement and part-time study route to a degree allowing you to Work, Earn and Learn! I hope you find this useful.

Hi, to stand out I'd recommend having lots of work experience and a killer CV/cover letter. I personally got 8 degree apprenticeship offers so if you want, I can send over some resources to help you including a list of work experience opportunities available right now and a copy of the CV I used. Let me know if you want those and I'll send over.

Hi, Thank you so much for the reply and I would love to have a look at the resources that you have! If you don't mind me asking, what apprenticeships did you apply to? Many Thanks

No worries, here are the resources you were asking for:

How to write a high quality CV (including a sample CV) - https://youtu.be/mBDZJMTmUc0?si=t0xzcI01QS1g2YnS

How to write a winning cover letter (including a sample cover letter) - https://youtu.be/e3kXL5gyi0w

List of work experience available right now - https://sumptuous-book-021.notion.site/Best-work-experience-for-DEGREE-APPRENTICESHIP-APPLICATIONS-928aea8fa48441df9755d76afef8e470?pvs=4

I applied to degree apprenticeships in the engineering sector, however I've helped people this year get into apprenticeships at HSBC and Deutsche Bank to name a few.

Hope that helps and good luck in your applications.

Thank you. Is there any sort of deadline or does is close when spaces get full up?

Usually they close as soon as they fill up so I'd recommend applying as soon as possible.
