If you want to study Psychology at uni, it makes sense, to me, that you complete an A level in Psychology,

Psychology will be more useful if you're doing it at uni

it would be yes, however I don't have a lot of time content wise.

You need to consider it based on your other subjects. If you are already locked in with 3 other A level subjects, you can informally study it as much as you can.

You do not need to sit the exam, you need to understand the content. Be careful with sitting the exam as you are obligated to report all your exam results.

Yes, and I’ll be doing it in the summer and I apply for university soon. So it’ll be on my application. I’m just really scared tbh. Even if I don’t do this a level, I still meet some university requirements. But not the one I want to go too the most. But I’m just very scared. I know I can get good marks in RS. But that’s why I’m picking rs, it’s not as content heavy as psych. And it helps me with the time I have. Otherwise I would’ve gone with psych. But rs gives me some wiggle room.

And for me to sit the exam I need to know what I’m doing. Hence why I went for a subject where I can learn and apply. And I’ll be able to learn my way around the papers. And knowledge.

Your approach is fine. It’s better to get a decent grade than struggle with another informal subject.

I suggest that you study Psych informally but not take an exam in it. Add it to your personal statement as a self-study.

thankyou!

ohh okay

ive got quite a lot ready for my personal statement, ive won several awards, ive volunteered a lot, ive got taste experiences, and a personal aspect too. I also did a psych module at college. do u think I should add into it, how I self learnt a level psych and those modules helped? I think I need some help articulating it.

If you self learn psych, you should definitely include in your PS. However, be careful that it is the truth as they may ask questions about Psych

I think I might focus on the positions of psych a level and not the whole thing due to lack of tine

Ok. Best to embed your learnings from Psych
Are you already doing 3 A-levels? If so, I wouldn't do a 4th one, as it's not going to give you any benefit in your uni application and it could in fact, prove to be worse for you - AAA is much more impressive than BBBB, for example.
