How did you prepare for it?

I used a lot of different methods, I think. I did all the past papers on the LNAT website, and basically every free resource I could find online for the multiple choice before I eventually caved and bought arbitio + the Ultimate LNAT Guide book. You definitely do not need to do all of that and while personally I think every resource I used was helpful you can definitely do well without spending any money!

For the essay, I found common essay topics on the internet, in my book, and on Arbitio and just wrote as many I could. I couldn't get all of them marked but I tried to mark them myself and look at how successful I was at arguing my case while remaining balanced.

If you need any help finding resources, just ask and I'll try find them again!

Thanks!! I'm sure you'll smash it too.

I think arbitio was harder in terms of passages, but the questions were a similar difficulty in my opinion. I think if you're doing okay on Arbitio you should be fine, but yeah the questions required a bit of thinking. The essays I got weren't like the standard ones that you see everywhere, but they were on issues I've done in debate before so I was pretty confident knowing points for all three. I just chose the one I was most interested in in the end, and I think that's a safe way to go about it.

hii i hope your lnat went well!! i have my exam booked for the 8th and im freaking out. i’ve done some mcq practice using arbitio as well as a book but things have been very hit or miss. i feel like the lnat would be so significantly easier if i could just highlight things on the screen lol. the passages really make up the difficulty for me. the essays have been fine. as long as i know what to write about all my marked essays have had really good feedback, only suggesting minor improvements. do you have any specific tips for the mcq? and what topics did you find are common for the essays?

Between sections a and b, is there a minute or two to read over the essay questions choices?

no, it is included in the 40 mins of essay time. THere is a gap in between where you can read instructions for seciton b but it is rather short

First of all, congrats on sitting your LNAT!! Im sure it feels great to have it out of the way now!! I was wondering, how do you think I can ensure i'm familiarised with common debate topics? Im so scared that I'll have no clue what to talk about for any question!
