How many boys are like this and as a boy what does this mean

Okay so I’m a year 13 and there were new year 12s and the story starts is that I’m at the trainstation in the morning as I use the train to school and this year 12 boy who is with maybe 4 others comes up and says “excuse me” “what’s your name” I tell him, he then asks what year I’m in I tell him 14 and he goes “ahh okay” then I ask his name and he tells me and then he says have a good day and I say the same back. Since then a few days pass and I sat in a 4 seater and him and his friends sat in a 4 seater quite near to mine but he wasn’t facing me, and then we get off the train and take different routes but the routes eventually cross but when they did he waved at me and I waved back, I thought this was weird as he didn’t say anything when we were very near but I waved back but then i thought it could be waving to someone else as there were others, however the day after, at the trainstation, he walked past me on the platform and called out my name while waving and so I smiled, again when I got off the train I saw him afar and waved at him and I heard his friends make sounds and he waved back, and in school in the hallways he waved even tho we were next to eachother yet no words have been exchanged or anything, I want to know what this means and if I’m being delusional thanks!!
