I think it's worth an email to the admissions department to ask as, although there are no subjects specified for A level, the requirements for IB, Access, etc. do state science requirements.

Why physics when you have not taken it or maths at A level?

Realised I wanted to do it far too late to do the right subjects

ESAT mildly ate me alive, found that they gave far too little time to properly answer questions. PAT seems to be somewhat unpredictable right now, with questions requiring knowledge not mentioned on the spec, so I’m going over all of FM. How else are you preparing?

Same - ESAT timing was an issue. Prepping for the PAT with past paper questions. Hoping it doesn't steer too far off that level or format, but who knows? Where else are you applying?

If it is any consolation, I absolutely ruined my ESAT.

Int'l student with Predicted grades in Maths, Chem, Physics, FM, EPQ are A*A*A*AA. Applied to UCL, Durham, Southampton and Manchester. ESAT didn't go well, so held back the 5th application for Imperial. Any idea when offers start coming thru? Any suggestions for the 5th Uni, in case ESAT scores aren't great

Offers can come in any time from now until April/May. Have a look at Lancaster, Loughborough, Warwick or Bath as possible 5th options. You might want to follow the fastest and slowest offers thread to give you an idea of when unis are making offers for your subject:

Applying for physics at Oxford Imperial UCL kings and queen Mary’s. Honestly the latter 3 were pretty spontaneous with no real thought process, regretting that slightly. I’ve done all PAT papers since 2018 and I’m not sure what else to do

When did you submit your application? There might still be time to substitute some of your choices.

Which questions aren't on the spec for PAT? :s-smilie:

Excellent, congratulations on your offers. Re UCL - it is quite early - are you an overseas student? contextual? have achieved grades? (or your stats are just super-impressive!?) Well done!

Hi - home student with 4A* prediction if that matters. Don't know anyone in RL applying, so didn't know it was early for UCL. TBH prefer the Southampton course. It's really interesting. Anyone else looking at Southampton?
