Should i drop Alevel maths?

I just started my a levels and take bio chem maths , the only reason I take maths is because I got a good grade in it at gcse but im not super good at it .I would say i just need to put in extra effort for me to do great.Bio and chem are for me to be able to apply to med or dentistry and i also like them.Help what should I do?
Also im considering switching to psychology but not sure if I'll regret it
Which subject interests you more or do you enjoy more?

I study Bio, Chem and Psych and I am in Year 12. I am also aspiring to go into medicine and many uni courses do accept psychology as well. It is important to do a subject that you enjoy since you have more of a chance in succeeding in it. I was going to do maths at A level but I just about got a 6 in the GCSE and I did not love it. I really like Psychology and we are studying the multi store memory model which is complex but interesting. Deffo pick what is best for you since you do not have to do maths in order to get in med skl. Most require bio and chem and another subject.

Maybe pick physics? It's a science which is good and is also known as a decently hard a level almost like maths

Hi @Candice N,

A lot of universities do accept psychology as the third A-Level if you wish to enrol in Medicine, so you're good in that aspect. My advice is to pick the subject you thoroughly enjoy more, as you're also more likely to score higher in a subject you like than a subject you loathe.

Although Maths is a valuable subject in university applications, it wouldn't really mean much if you don't achieve the grades you need. Have you spoken to a school counsellor or a guardian to get a second opinion?

Hope this helps,
Danish
