CALLING ALL YEAR 12s AND 13s : medicine A100 tips and tricks/Q&A
Hey everyone,
I hope you're all well.
I thought I might start a thread for a Q&A for any current Year 12s/13s thinking of/are applying to medical school.
I am currently on my gap year after completing Year 13 this year.
I unfortunately didn't receive any offers, and I am looking to reapply again this year, as well as retake one of my a levels.
And while I don't have a success story (yet!), I have learnt such invaluable lessons from my application the first cycle, and I would LOVE to share what I'm doing this second time round to ensure an interview and hopefully an offer, alongside general A-Level tips regarding studies, work-life, mental health, work experience, volunteering, predicted grades etc.
I got predicted 3A*s and an A in Year 13 and got 2A*s and 2As at the end of my Year 12 exams while going through some quite tricky stuff personally. So, if anyone has ANY questions, please feel free to comment on this thread. The medicine application process can be so difficult at times, but if I can get through it, you can too!
