ipad air or macbook air m2 for sixth form?

hey so i've just started sixth form and currently i have a super clunky 15 inch chromebook that weighs a ton. i'm going to invest in either an ipad air 13 inch with pencil and folio keyboard case or a macbook air m2. for reference the subjects i do are English lit, history and politics. i'm tempted by the ipad as i have weekly reading that is a huge pain to print and would also love to annotate articles and stuff, but i'm worried that it's not going to be great for essays - which will obviously be vital for history and English lit coursework + i'm planning on doing an epq. the macbook seems like a better all rounder but then there are aspects of the ipad that would make life so much easier. also i feel like ipad is more portable and a lot more sleek. storage isn't an issue as i'll be storing everything on the cloud. thoughts? really conflicted here so i'd really appreciate it!

Get the laptop, you will thank yourself in the long run for exactly the reasons you've mentioned. As for being sleeker and more portable, the 13" iPad Air with Magic Keyboard cover (the folio is only for the basic 10" iPad) is actually heavier and thicker than a 13" MacBook Air M2.
