Question about guinea pigs

Hiya. I have 2 female guinea pigs currently, both around 10 months old and one is more dominant. They don't fight, but they chase each other a bit and kick each other out of the hides. I'm not sure if they're happy and I think they might benefit from a larger social group.

Someone in my area is selling baby sows (6 weeks), so if I added a baby, could it be a successful trio? I have a 2x5 C&C and a big hutch for summer.

Hi. I don't know your age but I would highly recommend you join The Guinea Pig Forum for questions about guinea pigs (or ask a parent to if you're under 18). https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/

From my knowledge (I have two guinea pigs) you don't need a third, and it could cause problems.

As for cage sizes, here's what I found from a brief search which could help https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/threads/new-guinea-pigs.210457/post-2964589, https://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/forums/housing-enrichment-and-seasonal-care.9/

If you do decide to do this then make sure you know how to introduce them properly

It sounds like your guinea pigs have a typical dominance dynamic, which is normal as long as there's no serious aggression like biting or constant bullying.
