Border Force Officer 2024 Recruitment

I see Border Force are recruiting again however it seems the majority of roles are seasonal/ part time.

Unfortunately that's no good for me. Does anyone know if/ when they will hire for full time full year roles? I waited 10 months since the last recruitment campaign so absolutely gutted.

Be interesting to know the strategy behind the part time roles - cost I would imagine.

We are recruiting Border Force Officers and Assistant Officers to join our teams across the United Kingdom. As well as full-time roles, we have alternative working pattern options available in a number of locations.
Border Force is a law enforcement arm of the Home Office. We are responsible for managing UK border controls by implementing immigration and customs regulations and working with the wider Home Office on counter terrorism and tackling organised crime, modern slavery and trafficking.
You don’t need experience, as we provide full training.
Full-time salaries start from £28,000 for Officers and £24,800 for Assistant Officers, with an additional shift allowance, depending on the role and location. Salaries and allowances are pro-rated for part-time working patterns.
Alternative Working Patterns
Border Force Officers protect UK citizens from all prohibited, counterfeit and illegal goods passing through the Border. There are many exciting and varied roles that range from passenger interaction to the examination of goods entering the country through the aviation, maritime and postal modes.
Whilst these roles are not full-time positions, they are permanent contracts, and you will be a substantive Civil Servant and entitled to the same benefits as a full-time member of staff.
Our Alternative Shift Working roles are being offered in order to meet specific business needs and you should not expect to be made full-time once in post. If you are seeking a full-time position, these roles are not suitable for you, but you may be more interested in our full-time Border Force Assistant Officer/Officer International Trade roles.
