Question about Accommodation conditions and contracts

Hi,

I’ve recently moved into a student house in Smithdown and discovered a mice infestation, particularly in a couple of bedrooms, including mine. Pest control is currently handling the issue, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar when moving in? Any advice on how you handled it would be appreciated.

Additionally, has anyone been able to end their tenancy early due to a similar problem? My tenancy requires me to find a replacement tenant, so I'd appreciate any insights on this.

Thank you

Personally i would rather move out now if i can rather than dealing with the issue for the duration of tenancy. But im not sure where i should even start.

Hi There!
I'm sorry to hear about the problem in your accommodation.
As it's a student house have you contacted the accommodation team at you university? They'll be able to answer any questions with a lot more detail and they'll be able to assist you as a student that attends their uni.
If you go to LJMU, here is the email address: [email protected]
If you study at University of Liverpool, you can email them here: [email protected]
For any other universities, you can find their emails online.
Hope this helps.
