✨JF ZAK's ✨YR_11 GYG🤫😆

Hey, I’m Zak! 🫶🏽
I’m a 15-year-old in Year 11, navigating the chaos of GCSEs and ready to take on this year’s challenges. 🎒💥 I joined GYG to manage the stress, connect with like-minded people, and maybe add a little fun into this busy year. 🙃
Subjects I’m taking:

Triple Science 🔬

Higher Maths

English Lang ✍️

RS (Religious Studies) 📚

Geography 🌍

French 🇫🇷

HPQ 💡(the book i have choosen is 1984 by George Orwell)

Further Maths 🔢

📝 Target Grades:

English literature 7 (I HAVE ALREADY SAT THIS EXAM, so this is my actual grade)

English Language: 8/9

Maths: 8/9

French: 7

Religious Studies: 7

Physics: 8/9

Biology: 8

Chemistry: 8/9

Geography: 9

🎯 My Goals:

Revise more consistently (time to level up!)

Finish my revision notes for everything 📝

Take some time to relax and create music 🎶

A bit about me:
I’ve always been drawn to subjects that combine logic, precision, and problem-solving. My favourite areas—Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Computer Science—fascinate me because of their technicality and the way they break down the world. Each subject has taught me to think critically, solve problems methodically, and appreciate how interconnected systems are, whether in nature or technology.

Outside of academics, I’m passionate about reading crime and mystery novels, which sharpen my analytical mind, and I love playing strategy games that challenge my problem-solving skills. 🎮 In addition, I’ve been learning the guitar for 5 years, which has taught me the importance of patience and dedication. 🎸

Looking Ahead:
I’m excited to study Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology at university, and for my A-levels, I’ve applied for Maths, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science. 🌱
I’m known for being hard-working, resilient, and curious, always eager to take on new challenges and explore the unknown. As a dedicated bookworm, I’m constantly excited to learn, and I’m ready to bring that energy to everything I do. 💡
Let’s smash this year together! 🎉

Yo, hope everyone’s hanging in there! 👋
So, my week’s been a rollercoaster so far. I’ve been trying to stick to this plan I made to stay on top of all the homework and revision, but it's not going too well 😂. Here’s my rough timetable for today (which, of course, has already gone sideways):
- 8 AM: School (the usual…)
- 3 PM: Get home, grab some food 🍽️
- 4 PM: Start on maths homework (except, I ended up on reading a book instead 😅)
- 5 PM: Chem revision... or at least that was the plan 🤦*♀️
- 6 PM: Triple science is lowkey taking over my life, ngl 🧪
- 7 PM: Still trying to finish chem homework
- 8 PM: Hopefully done with work and chilling a bit before bed

But yeah, school decided to throw a surprise assembly right in the middle of my day, and it was the weirdest thing. I was half-asleep during it, and the teacher randomly called me out to answer a question. I had *no clue* what was going on and just said the first thing that came to mind. Everyone tried not to laugh while I sat there confused 😅. Not my best moment, but we move!
Life at home’s been pretty hectic—parents being parents, y’know how it is. Balancing all this work is mad stressful, especially with triple science stacking up like crazy. My desk is literally drowning in homework, mostly science, and the overload is *so* not healthy. ADHD brain doesn’t help either, but we’re trying out here 💪.
On top of that, I’m also doing an HPQ (Higher Project Qualification) in English Lit since I’ve already done the GCSE. I’m focusing on *1984* by George Orwell, and for my project, I’m making a diorama of Room 101 from the book. Super excited about that because it’s one of my fave books and the project is a nice break from all the science stuff.

Haha, thanks! Yeah, I really hope they ease up on the homework too—it’s like they’re trying to bury us under it! 😭

Quick update! 🚨
So, my mock exam dates have been moved up, and now everything’s kicking off way sooner than expected. 😩 Mocks are starting in early October, and I’ve got French first on the 7th or 8th of October (just what I needed, right? 😅).
On top of that, I’ve got all my triple science mocks, RS, and maths lined up too. Gonna be a wild couple of weeks ahead with revision, but I guess it’s grind time now! 📝🔬
Hope everyone else’s prep is going well! Let’s do this 💪

Quick update! 👋
Today’s been all about catching up on homework and trying to get organised before things get too hectic. Got a ton on my plate, but feeling a little more on track. Gonna be focusing on **revising biology**—specifically genetics, because I’m behind on that topic and need to catch up ASAP 🧬. Might even throw in some physics revision later if I can stay focused long enough ⚡️.
Tomorrow’s a big day too because I’m diving into my **HPQ** project for English Lit. I’ll be spending some time working on my diorama for *1984*, which I’m actually excited about because it's a nice break from all the science stuff. 🖼️📚
I’ve got French mocks creeping up soon in October, so it’s time to get serious and really step up the revision game. The stress is kicking in, but we’re pushing through!
Anyone else feeling the pre-mock panic? 🙃
