What made you struggle with them?
I personally would never have read these books when I was younger so I'm really happy I found them now
In year 4 upwards I started reading Charles Dickens, a few classics and murder mysteries - a weird child I was...

Ummmm idk to be very honest I was reading some weird books at that age (noughts and crosses, his dark materials, book thief) but it just felt like too much??? I have no idea 😭

Ahhhh I love his dark materials
In Lyra Silvertongue we trust
To be honest I found the book of dust: the secret commonwealth to be much more favorable as it follows a 20 year old Lyra....its a shame I've waited 5 years and the 3rd book still hasn't been released
I didn't like the concept of noughts and crosses so never read it...though I did like other blackman novels

i agree with dark materials
and noughts and crosses
i read like the first to books and all the main characters die
like bruh
but my fav blackman books are 'the stuff of nightmares' and 'noble conflict'
