People in loreto college or xaverian

Can you please help me (if you are in loreto or xaverian).
I’m in yr11 and I’m in foundation for maths and science but I want to do maths-biology-chemistry-physics for A-level
What should I do?

Ur definitely gonna have to do higher for that mix and 4 subjects cus u need to meet the grade boundaries required I don’t think u can do even 1 of those subjects with foundation at Xaverian and especially loreto but dw though u still have time to have an academic comeback but lockkkk innn noww u need to prove ur able to do higher which is harder in yr11 but achievable beg ur teachers and hopefully ur already revising if not use this as motivation good luck xxx

Yes actually I planned for studying from tomorrow and I just want focus on maths and science to can get grade 5 in college entry exams (mock exams) to move up to higher

Ofcc if u ever need tips I’m here I went from a grade 2 in foundation maths in my mocks to a 7 in higher in the real thing it’s 100% duable

Actually my mom told them but they told us that I should to get more high grade 5 in college entry exams

Secondary schools only care abt ppl getting 4s and 5s so that the pass rate looks good for them which is why they try to keep ppl on foundation but if u keep asking them they will eventually move u up since it is actually meant to be ur decision alsoo science is really easy to get moved up to higher just make sure u get a 5 in ur mocks I recommend doing past papers they are soooo helpful

loreto student here doing fm maths and physics 🙂 loreto advise you very very strongly until half term (now!) to do 3 subjects, but you can do 4 and drop one during it to see, they say unless you're getting A* in all its better to keep 3.
What are you looking to do? Doing the 3 sciences isn't advised really. 2 is enough e.g medicine its bio chem maths/engineering chem physics maths. I would say if you enjoy maths and get what you need for the course go for it! I'm enjoying it and it's a versatile alevel.
I'd say work hard especially in your mocks. Do alot of past paper questions and even then keep your options open. I didn't know what I was going to do until novemeber/December perhaps and I still changed on enrollment.

I knew some people who moved to higher from foundation science in my old school, talk with your head of years/teachers but they may not let you if you aren't getting 5s. Science you need a 6 and maths is at a 7. sometimes they're a little lenient if your other grades related are better.
