Latin literature OCR

So i am currently in year 11 and am studying the literature texts. My current method for revising is going over a section reading the latin then checking the english translation. Also noting any key words to identify which part of the text i am in. Is this an effective way of learning the texts. Any other methods?

I did OCR Classical Greek, but I would say knowing the English of the whole text inside out, and the latin to some extent such that you know which part of the english matches up, and 1 literary point per line is like a checklist for your revision. Realistically, trying to do more than that might be a bit of a strain.
