Help with A level choices regarding university

Hi, I've just started year 12 and am taking Computer Science, Maths, Further Maths, and Physics. I desperately want to drop physics as the whole class practically teaches itself because the teacher cannot teach; I just know I won't do well in my exams due to the circumstances and as I was never good at science at GCSE to begin with. I never wanted to take Physics in the first place but I was forced to as my school only allows you to do Further Maths as a 4th A level meaning you need 3 others.

For the school to let me drop Physics I need to replace it with one other and my only options are English Literature, English Language and Literature, Business Studies, or Psychology as those are the only subjects that align with my other confirmed subjects in the set "option blocks".

I'm stuck on which one I should choose. I want to study either Mathematics/Computer Science/Finance/ Business Management in university and specifically the Mathematics/Compsci/Finance courses I want to take require me to have taken Further Maths. I've already spoken to the Head of Year and Head of Maths and they refused to make an exception even tho the only a levels I need are Maths, Further Maths, and Computer Science.

Option 1:
-Keep: Maths, Further Maths, and Computer Science
-Replace Physics with one of the English courses

Option 2:
-Keep: Maths, Further maths, and Computer science
-Replace physics with business

I have worries when it comes to both options as if I go with option 1 I'm worried that I might not be able to handle all 4 A levels at once as English is quite a heavy subject but I think its good to take it as it is part of the preferred subjects for the universities I'm aiming for, plus I do enjoy it. However, if I can't handle it I'm worried that I might not meet the grade requirements.

If I go with option 2, I'm afraid that if I drop further maths, I will only have 2 preferred by universities a levels and 1 (business) which many of the universities I want to attend don't accept (therefore, I'll only really be left with 2 A levels which doesn't meet the entry requirements) However, as I see business as easier than English I think that that might provide me with more time to spend on further maths and I feel like business won't really affect the grades of my other subjects.

I'd really appreciate any opinions/insight on what I should do as the deadline for me to change my subjects is this Friday!!
It depends a lot on what you want to take at university - have a look at courses at different universities and see what they require. Requirements for subjects also vary from university to university, for example a few universities do not require physics alevel for engineering if you do another science.

Hi, thanks for your reply! I have looked at courses and none of them require physics, I only picked physics initially as I thought it went well with my subjects but I know it's a lost cause to continue with it as I know I won't do well plus I don't actually need it for university. I'm more concerned with which of the other subjects I stated would accompany my already chosen subjects the best when considering difficulty levels and preferences ofuniversities. None of my uni courses require english/psychology/business but I still need to pick one.

If none of them specifically require those subjects then choose the one you enjoy the most and feel you will do fine in. The other subjects will still form part of your offer e.g. you may need 3 As for your course so you need to want to study your subject and pass it. As far as I am aware as long as you meet the offer conditions and come across as interested in the course the other subjects do not matter as much.
