Resitting English coursework

I am resitting OCR A-level English as a private external candidate. I was wondering if anyone knew how the briefs work as a private candidate as I cannot take over my coursework grade as I did not submit it last year due to the fact that I was hospitalised a lot during my A-levels so my school thought I would not be able to submit something that works to the best of my ability so I got a predicted. Do I have to make my own and submit them or can I use the old ones the school gave us that I did not use last year?
