Hi there,
Congratulations on some great Higher results! I am starting my 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering at Glasgow and applied with 5 As at Higher straight from S5.
The official University guidance is as follows:

Typically offers will be made at AAAAA by end of S6. B at Advanced Higher is equivalent to A at Higher

Additional requirements: Higher Mathematics and Physics or Engineering Science at AA. (AB or BA may be considered).

If like you said you've met the grade requirements and taken relevant courses at Higher I'd say you have a pretty good chance. Other things to consider are:
What courses are you taking this year?
How strong is your personal statement? (UCAS have a good guide here)
Are you able to do any relevant work experience?

If you would like more specific advice you can submit an enquiry to our admissions team here

Any other questions about the course or the university please let me know!

Thanks,
Elise, 2nd Year
BEng (Hons), Mechanical Engineering
