can i do medicine foundation year

Hello , my question is that i want to do medicine but i don't have chemistry alevels only biology , physchology and philosophy . I was told to do foundation medicine , but my grades are higher than what is required . eg grades for foundation yr want minimum BBB/ ABB but i have AAA so should i still apply to foundation . If not where do you think i should apply . Many thanks .

You have a good shot even if you don't have the chemistry.

Most universities require Chemistry for the full course so if you wanted to apply to those particular universities then your grades are immaterial if you don't have Chemistry. You would have to apply for the foundation course.

There are some universities that I am aware of that don't specifically require Chemistry. These are Southampton, Plymouth, Keele, University of East Anglia and Buckingham. There could be others as well. You could apply to these for the full course.

i think manchester foundation have entry requirements AAA with no chemistry
they tend to do the foundation for people without chem or bio but i’d double check x

Every university has different entry requirements so I’d definitely recommend having a look at each one before making any decisions!
