applying to us universities from the uk

i am in y12 and am starting to prep for applying to us unis. is taking 3 A-Levels rather than 4 going to reduce my chances, even if i get all A* in them. i am taking econ, philosophy and spanish (ik its a weird combo, i dropped maths so i would have more time to do well in my other subjects and do extracurriculars). im also doing an epq. i am prepping for sat tests too, but what else can i do to maximise my chances of being accepted into top us universities?
I don't think it matters a huge difference. Ultimately, US unis wouldn't care what your final A-Level grades are. You'll get your acceptance offer in March, way before A-Level exams. I would say that if you have good predicted grades, that's really good too. Academics are only the first step to US unis though, especially since some universities are still test optional. I think focusing on extra-curriculars or a passion project would maximize your chances.
