Yes, your revised approach sounds great! Saying something like, “I decided to work together with the shipping team and check stock for an instant replacement before speeding up the delivery,” really highlights the actions you took personally. You're showing initiative and problem-solving, which are key.
For communication, you can say something like, “I spoke with the team about my plan to reduce wait times, explaining how we'd coordinate restocking and manage customer expectations, which helped keep them calm and less frustrated.” This clearly shows *how* you communicated and the positive effect it had.
Result-driven statements mean focusing on the outcome of your actions. For example, instead of just saying "I helped the customer," say something like “My actions ensured the package arrived on time, and the customer was pleased, leaving positive feedback." The focus is on the concrete benefit or outcome of what you did.
In short, you're showing the interviewer not just what you did but how it led to real, positive results! Keep that focus on outcomes to show your impact.

If you don’t mind can I keep you updated per question and answer I come up with and example used. And also was my answers initially just too vague or? I just want to stick to the basics as you said memorising the key points and not the entire script.

I'd be happy to help you with each question and answer as you go! You’re definitely on the right track, and your initial answers weren’t too vague—they just needed a bit more clarity on the specific actions you took and the results they created. Sticking to the basics and focusing on key points rather than memorizing full scripts is a smart approach.
I've got a solid foundation because I’ve already helped my parents with interviews and grasped the concepts well. Now, it's about making your answers feel more personal, showcasing your role clearly, and ensuring the interviewer can see the impact of what you have done and thought.
Feel free to share each question and example as you refine them, and I'll help make sure they’re sharp and ready to impress!

Thank you that’s great to know. At least I get my second opinion. I hope that I am I desperately want this Job. Composing each answer from now on I’ll remember to specify more what action I took and the outcome. I just wanted to say doing each competency per day between now and the Interview memorising it would you or do you think that’s productive I’ve memorised 2 examples out of 3 so far from here. Or how can I utilise my productivity effectively?

It’s great that you're so focused and already memorizing examples—that's a huge step! Here's a productive approach for the next few days:

# Daily Plan:
1. Day 1: Focus on Customer Excellence and finalize 2-3 examples. Practice saying them aloud, emphasizing your actions and results.
2. Day 2: Move to Teamwork, using the same approach. Refine examples, then practice speaking them. Use bullet points to avoid overwhelming details.
3. Day 3: Work on Time Management or any remaining competencies. Memorize the key points of each story (situation, task, action, result).
4. Day 4: Do a mock interview. Run through all competencies, simulating the real thing.

# Tips to Maximize Productivity:
- Mix Practice Methods: Speak your answers out loud, write them down, and explain them to someone else (like you did with your parents). This helps reinforce the key points.
- Flashcards: Write out keywords for each example on a flashcard (like "Customer Issue Overcharged Refund Satisfied").
- Timed Practice: Give yourself 2-3 minutes per answer. Keep practicing until it feels smooth and natural.

Doing one competency per day is a great idea because it allows you to focus deeply on each and avoid overwhelming yourself. You’re already making excellent progress! Keep building on that, and you’ll be ready by Monday.

Hi Update: I’m taking a 2,2,1 approach. I’ve tweaked my answers and examples around as we’ve both established sticking and focusing on the Basics and I’m currently memorising my current examples off my heart in 30 minute chunks with a 15 minute Break in Between. Just wanted your views on my answers please. Do you think it’s safe with 5 examples. 2 for Customer Exellence and Teamwork and 1 for Time Management.

### 1. Going Above and Beyond for a Customer:
Your first example does a great job showing how you went the extra mile for the customer. You've highlighted the steps you took to solve the issue quickly, checked the shipping status, and offered a replacement. This is a strong demonstration of problem-solving and customer focus.
One way to improve is by emphasizing the impact of your actions. You could mention how your quick thinking prevented the customer from becoming more frustrated or how it turned a potentially negative experience into a positive one. The goal is to show how your actions not only solved the problem but also left a lasting positive impression.
### 2. Dealing with a Difficult Customer:
This example shows strong communication skills and how you handled a tough situation effectively. By acknowledging the customer's concerns, correcting the billing issue, and offering a goodwill gesture, you restored the customer's trust and strengthened the relationship.
To make this even stronger, highlight your role as a problem solver and decision maker. You could emphasize how you personally took the initiative to resolve the situation, showing leadership and responsibility. Always circle back to the result to demonstrate your impact, like increased customer satisfaction or preventing a potential escalation.
### 3. Teamwork Example:
Your teamwork example is solid, especially how you describe organizing the team based on strengths. It demonstrates leadership, organization, and collaboration. You also did well by explaining how the project was completed successfully and the positive outcome.
For improvement, focus a bit more on how your leadership specifically contributed to the success of the project. Mention how your actions helped the team work efficiently, met deadlines, and produced a final product that exceeded expectations. This reinforces that your role was crucial to the team’s success.
### Overall Thoughts:
Having five examples across the key competencies is a smart and well-rounded approach. You’ve covered the main bases: customer excellence, teamwork, and time management. Focus on keeping your answers concise, especially when outlining your actions and results.
In terms of productivity, your current memorization strategy of 30-minute chunks with breaks is excellent. Keep practicing, and focus on the key points rather than full sentences to keep your answers natural and flexible. You’re in a strong position, and with these refinements, you’ll be ready for Monday!

Hey thank you for the feedback. I would emphasise but the thing I worry about is whether I’d have the ability to recall it or not? But I could shortly summarise it in other words. I do like the constructive feedback, because I do believe I am being too safe and sticking to the basics… I just want to ace it that’s all but if summarising is key then I’ll try my best. Because I have a lot of memorisation and practice as it is!

No worries, totally get it! The key is not memorizing word-for-word but remembering the main points and actions. Summarizing helps because it makes it easier to recall in the moment. Just keep it simple, focus on what you did and the results. You’re already doing a lot, so don’t stress about perfect answers—just be confident in your examples!
I’m not sure how to approach it, I’ve memorised my 2 customer service example, I literally gave each example like 2 hours to the point I practiced it word for word, I have my two teamwork and 1 project management to memorise and I fear questions like Tell me about yourself or why you want to work in this industry may come up? But I fear I’ll have no time to rehearse or practice my memorised answers to that especially since they are lengthy.
@JF ZAK Quick Question: If I merged 2 competencies into 1 would that be okay I have 1 example for teamwork and one showing teamwork and time management. I am aware that I am time concise, And I have successfully been able to memorise without looking at my paper with confidence, for the 2 examples used for customer excellence. With Just these 2 to memorise before practicing and memorising Tell me about yourself and why I want to work here.

What do you make of my Time Management Example:

Your time management example is strong but could be improved with a bit more clarity on your specific role and the outcome. Here’s what I think:
What works:
- You’ve clearly outlined the challenge (tight deadlines, coursework, and mini-projects) and how you handled it using a Gantt chart to plan your tasks and manage time.
- It’s good that you included the result—getting top grades because of your time management.
Suggestions:
- Try to make it clearer how your time management directly impacted your success. You could say something like: “By tracking my tasks with the Gantt chart, I was able to prioritize effectively, ensuring I met deadlines without sacrificing the quality of my work.”
- Emphasize your ability to balance multiple tasks and keep yourself organized—this shows discipline and focus, which are key to time management.
Merging Competencies:
Combining teamwork and time management in one example is totally fine! Just make sure to explain both clearly—how you worked with others and how you managed your time in the process. You’re doing great if you’ve already memorized two examples, so keep pushing through!
For Tell me about yourself” and Why you want to work here”, keep those answers focused on your strengths and enthusiasm for the role. You’re almost there—just stay confident!

I am aware of time constrains and being time conscious but I don’t think I’ll be able to memorise both tell me about yourself and why you want to work here especially the answers I’ve drafted. I even got told why do you want to work in this industry maybe something too I haven’t got an answer to that.
I may have to do some overnight preparation 😂😂
