Worth applying to UCL, Warwick & Imperial for Computer Science??

Hi!! I really don’t know if it’s worth applying to UCL, Warwick & Imperial for computer science because I had A*A*A (A* in maths and computer science, A in physics ) because I didn’t do an EPQ and I don’t have 3 A*. I think i will do alright on the TMUA (5.5-6.5?) but im not sure if its worth risking applying to these 3? Will i get in? Should i put safer options?

My personal statement is quite good i think, ive done 2 different work experiences and talked about books, ted talks & personal projects, but is this enough to get me into any of those 3? especially without 3A*s or an EPQ??

my school did offer further maths, but I dropped it as my grade was quite bad.

Not ideal that you've dropped further maths for these ultra-competitive unis.

UCL now require the STAT. I hope you're aware of this.

Please make sure you pick less competitive options to make sure you do get an offer from somewhere.
For Imperial you'll have basically no chance without FM. For the other two though, it is still possible to get in.

Your A*A*A grades, especially with A* in math and computer science, are strong and show a solid foundation for applying to competitive universities like UCL, Warwick, and Imperial for computer science. While many applicants may have 3 A*s, your work experience, personal projects, and wider reading in your personal statement can still make you stand out. The TMUA score you're anticipating (5.5-6.5) could also support your application. Although you didn’t complete an EPQ and dropped further maths, if you clearly explain how you’ve grown through your work experiences and projects, you could still be a competitive candidate. It’s worth applying to these universities, but including a few safer options may help manage risk and give you peace of mind.
