Help!! My University's mistake may get me into trouble...

I have just graduated from my law degree- upon results day I found out I got a 2:1, great! However, upon opening my transcript at graduation my certificate said a 1st class, whilst my transcript remained as a 2:1. This happened to some of my friends who, like me were close to getting a 1st class by a margin of 3% + also we all partook on a study abroad.

Here's where Im stumped, my university professor said that was an official 1st class as it has the stamp, seal and signature- however, it is the exam board/ student admin team who have the final call. I have tried calling up and emailing my university and law school to figure out what is going on but they have not been much help, everyone who I have spoken to all seemed just as confused and are telling me to wait 2-3+ weeks, but I cant do that, I have applications to submit!

So now Im not sure what to do- integrity and honesty is key to the legal sector in which I want to be a part of, so I do not want to mislead prospective employers. I know by saying a 1st class I might have a higher chance at securing the role and to be honest thats what it says on my official university llb (hons) law certificate, however, Im scared that if i say this, my university would turn around and say "actually you have got a 2:1" and i would have been misleading in job applications.

This is honestly quite annoying and such a sour way to end university, what makes it worse is that no one is really being of help- there have been no letters, emails or any communication offering an apology and trying to rectify the situation, all the contact I have received was through me reaching out first. I can appreciate due to it being the start of a new academic year that everyone must be so busy, I know I run the risk of sounding self centered but I really would like clarity on my actual grade as soon as possible.

Is there anything I can do? Has anyone been in a similar situation?

The transcript shows your individual marks per module. Have you tried working out your degree classification yourself using those marks and the university's academic regulations (which will explain how they calculate your degree classification)?

Also, for modules which you did last year, or perhaps in semester 1 / term 1 of this year, do the marks in the transcript tally with the mark you'd previously been told you'd achieved?

Some universities round up for the sake of 3% it looks good for the university and it's good for you too a first opens a lot more doors it's possible you got the first under moderation i went up a classification (well 2 classifications) under moderation in one of my units.
If you are at the point where you have to submit applications in the interim, you could always list the average weighted mark and state “classification pending” or somesuch.
