A couple of months ago I had an incident at work due to my mental health deteriorating. Ever since this incident I've been off work due to a mental health crisis. My workplace has had 2 fact finds in this time and today I have handed in my resignation with 4 weeks notice hoping that I can avoid any disciplinary action. If in the next 4 weeks I do receive a disciplinary meeting notification I won't be going as I'm mentally unwell. Once my 4 weeks are up what will happen? Will they just drop it?
So from a fact find meeting it shouldn't go straight to a disciplinary hearing right? There's a meeting in between so Informal Fact find - investigation meeting - disciplinary hearing. If I refuse to go to a investigation meeting due to being mentally unwell then I can drag it out past the 4 weeks and I can't get dismissed?
Yh the process you outlined looks good. You can try drag it past. They might determine and think that the hearing is not necessary. Are you able to provide proof?

No I'm not. My resignation was accepted however manager said they will get back to me regarding the 'fact finds'. The important thing is now I can't get dismissed although I'm not sure. Apparently they can dismissed at a hearing even if I don't show up. I'm just hoping that it can't go straight to a hearing yet.

I don't know if this is the case. Can it go straight from a fact find to a disciplinary hearing?
