iPad for Physics undergrad??

What are people's opinions? I already have a laptop but was wondering whether an iPad would be best suited for doing tutorial work on as I've been told it's easier to do this and send straight off to my tutor.

It saves on paper, but phones do a decent job of scanning pages anyway so it's by no means essential.

Hello! 🙂
I used an iPad for my first year, without a laptop, and I took STEM modules. I'd definitely say that a laptop is a must for subjects like physics because it'll help when using things like excel which are harder to use on an iPad.

As @Sinnoh has already mentioned, it's not essential, however it's good for note-taking especially if you want to draw diagrams or write equations with less common symbols. It's also lighter than a laptop so if you have days where you know you'll just be note-taking/doing easy work, you wouldn't need to carry a laptop with you for the whole day. (this is more helpful if you commute!)
Overall, it's definitely not necessary but it can be helpful in making studying easier.

I hope this helps!
