I have seen on numerous occasions, existing and former students seeking for some guidance in relation to converting their Cambridge A-Level grades to an ATAR score. In Australia, most universities have a conversion process or template they abide too. However this is what I have observed, when it comes to international Cambridge A-Levels, they attribute points as follows: Post 2009 A*=6, A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 Pre 2009 A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1 This point method works on aggregative a minimum of three principal (A2) subjects. Subsidiary level subjects are ignored. Hence depending on the year, the ATAR associated to the point aggregate will vary. GCE A-Level to ATAR According to the University of Western Australia, which uses the above commonly adopted regular point aggregate method: AAA= 98 ATAR AAB= 96 ATAR ABB = 92 ATAR BBB = 90 ATAR There are also other websites like the London School of Economics where in the undergraduate requirements section, they provide minimum comparable equivalent. Cambridge A-Level Grades AAB = 96 points, AAA = 98 points LSE in fact goes a step further and identifies A-Level Maths as an equivalent to VCE Specialist Maths and VCE Maths Methods. There are numerous websites that provide similar findings but I found these ones particularly useful and consistent.
Hope that helps.
