is it mandatory to provide references for the onboarding process ?

And do you have to provide the emails of the HR department instead of your line manager's ?

they definitely require references before you start if that's what you mean? If I'm not mistaken, it did ask for the HR department email but I'm not even sure how you'd go about finding that lol

Character references and university references? It doesn’t all have to be from employment. Remember that your references have to cover the last 3 years though

As many as it takes. It could be as few as 1 or as many as 5 depending on education or employment gaps

what do you mean by employment/education gaps ?

what if there aren't any educational/employment gaps ?

Can you just not give 2 uni references - wouldnt that suffice ?

If you were studying for the 3 years required, then I guess University references suffices for you.

During the referencing process of my current job. I had a gap I needed to defend which was from when I left school till when I got that job. They needed evidence of what I was doing after school, so that is considered a gap. I guess we just need to wait till we start the process and see how it goes.

but what if I was working during those 3 years such as doing some part-time jobs as well as internships and other work experiences alongside my 3 years of undergrad study ?

would I still need to list out employer references, and if so, would it be an issue if I cannot find the HR email ?

Deloitte’s process might be different. I work for a bank now. During the referencing process, they asked for an HMRC tax summary. This showed the companies that remitted taxes on my behalf and they requested an email of the HR/supervisor for referencing purposes.

I suggest we wait till we get assigned a buddy and ask what their referencing process is like.

Not in Manchester but in London! Have you signed up to the assessment centre? Also, any chance you have a copy of the job description from when it was posted? Can't find it anywhere!!

For people who got offers, did you make slides for the topic discussion or use any notes?

I used notes. I went in with a piece of paper containing my major points.

I'm sure it says not to prepare slides as it is not a presentation, I went in with 2 pages in a notepad

please can anyone advise on what the below is ?

Please note: there is a mandatory preparation task that you must complete prior to your Final Stage Assessment. We recommend that you spend around 2 hours completing this. If you do not complete this preparation, we will unfortunately need to cancel your assessment.

And once you have booked your slot, when should you receive the email containing important details of your assessment day ?

like how long after booking did you receive that email ?

The mandatory preparation is the presentation/discussion task where you present one of the given topics.

When you get the email is dependent on when your AC is. When I booked mine it was in two weeks so I had to wait a week til I got all the instructions.
